Can You Be Zionist and Progressive?

Goals:

• Affective – Students identify as proud Zionists despite antisemitism which manifests as anti-Zionism.
• Behavioral – Students are motivated to stand up against antisemitism (especially at University).
• Cognitive – Students understand when anti-Zionism becomes antisemitism.

Essential Questions

1. Is the progressive left becoming antisemitic?
2. Is criticizing Israel antisemitic?
3. What should one do to cope with antisemitism at university?

Big Ideas

1. Jews are being excluded from some left wing spaces because of their identity as Jews or Zionists.
2. Antisemitism is often disguised as anti-Zionism. 
3. One shouldn’t have to choose between Zionism and other parts of their identity.
