Unpacked for Educators Collaborative

I have greatly benefited from my participation in the Unpacked for Educators Collaborative. The material that is prepared and made available to us is interesting and timely, the cohort of teachers whom I have met provide real time examples of how to navigate some of the issues that the study of Israel generates, and the monthly seminar spotlights an issue and provides a forum for educating us all on how to respond to our students about issues that are of concern to them.

Unpacked for Educators has been an irreplaceable tool in my daily teaching. It has allowed me to navigate relevant topics with ease involving clear learning objectives and sparking thoughtful conversations with students.

My experience with Unpacked over the past four years has been nothing short of excellent, and has continued to improve over time. The Collaborative is an added bonus, creating and connecting a network of thoughtful, skillful professionals across the world. Having access to an additional network of educators working with their own unique communities is incredibly useful in giving context for students as they also engage with an increasingly interconnected world.

Being a part of the Unpacked for Educators Collaborative has not only given me an opportunity to hear from world-renowned experts in Jewish Education, it has allowed me to learn from my colleagues from around the world. By having the platform to connect and share we are all becoming better learners and educators.

It is no understatement to say that the Collaborative / Unpacked resources have revolutionized my teaching. On a monthly basis I am treated to a webinar of the highest level with opportunities for networking both with experts in their fields as well as with other teachers around the world. The resources themselves are quite simply the best in the field. The combination of high production values, rigorously researched content and student-focused presentation make them unbeatable. The level of content in the resource is unbelievably helpful to time-pressured teachers.

The UED Collaborative is providing the opportunity for me to connect with colleagues around Australia and around the world. Through dynamic speakers, conversations in breakout spaces and the sharing of ideas, we are able to broaden our knowledge and pedagogy, as well as see the bigger picture and gain strength from common purpose. I highly value UED's innovation in this space and their commitment to providing quality resources in these sessions and for schools. Their sense of what educators need and how to engage students is spot on!
