At Unpacked for Educators, we’re always looking for ways to improve and enhance your experience, making it easier to explore and use our content more effectively. Over the years, as our platform has grown, we’ve listened to your feedback and worked to make our site as intuitive and accessible as possible. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Collections, a brand-new way to explore the content you love, organized in a way that makes sense for you and your students.
What are collections?
Collections are carefully curated groupings of content organized by themes, ideas, and historical narratives — not just topics. Unlike our standard taxonomy, which categorizes content by subject, Collections bring together videos, articles, and lesson plans that tell a bigger story or provide a deeper perspective on key aspects of Jewish history, Israel, and Jewish identity.
Think of Collections as ready-made content hubs, bringing together videos, podcasts, articles, and lesson plans around key themes like:
- Eras of Jewish history
- Antisemitic conspiracies
- The IDF and Israel’s wars
- Jewish diversity
- And so much more
By organizing content in this way, we’re making it more seamless for educators to find relevant, high-quality materials that align with their teaching goals.
How to use collections
Whether you’re planning a full unit or just looking for inspiration, Collections are designed to make your life easier by sparking inspiration and streamlining your lesson planning:
