This Yom Ha’atzmaut connect your students with others across the globe, share Israel’s deep and rich history, and engage them in a trivia challenge.
This program features an hour of video content (six videos) across a range of topics in Israeli history plus a 30-minute trivia activity. Each video is accompanied by educational resources that allow for meaningful discussion and engagement. The trivia game is a global Kahoot! with participants from schools all over the world.
As with any good competition, there will be prizes! We’ll be awarding a $250 Amazon gift card to the first place winner, a $75 gift card to the second, and a $50 gift card to the third. Plus, the winning student’s school will get a trophy!

- Only one entry per student is allowed into the Championship. If a player plays multiple games, their lowest score will be counted.

FAQs
How does the Global Trivia Championship work?
Schools from all over the world are eligible to join by signing up. The trivia competition is based on the content in six history of Israel videos available on the Unpacked for Educators website. The videos cover a wide-range of topics in Israeli history.
Each video is accompanied by educational resources that encourage meaningful discussion and engagement. You can plan your curriculum however you see fit to best prepare your students for the trivia game.
Each participating group (school or class) will receive a link for a 30-minute trivia activity (Kahoot!).
Your students can play this game anytime between April 29 – May 8. You can set up a time for everyone to play together, or allow them to play individually. Scores are based on correct answers and the speed of answering.
Winners will be announced on May 11th and prizes will be distributed following the announcement.

Instructions to Play
- Share the link or Kahoot! PIN to the Championship with your students. (You will receive the link once you sign up.)
- Make sure your students enter in school name.first name when registering to play in the Kahoot! quiz.
- Only one entry per student is allowed into the Championship. If a player is found to play multiple games, their lowest score will be counted.
