They will share how the powerful candle tradition is quickly spreading throughout the Jewish world, and will also explore how to use our video series, Faces of the Holocaust, to teach about four key figures that each represent a critical side of the history.
Founder and Chair, Our6Million
Alicia Kaylie Yacoby is the Founder and Chair of Our6Million, a nonprofit organization dedicated to instilling family traditions for remembering those that have perished in the Holocaust. These efforts earned international recognition when she was awarded The Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad Award by Second Lady Karen Pence in 2018.
Senior Director of Israel Education, Unpacked for Educators
Avi Posen is the Senior Director of Israel Education – EMEA at Unpacked for Educators, a division of OpenDor Media. His focus is on content creation and exposing Jewish educators around the world to our Unpacked for Educators materials. Avi has worked as a Judaic Studies teacher, Hillel Director and Jewish camp director. He holds a Masters in Jewish Education from Yeshiva University in New York.
