He holds a doctorate in educational psychology from USC with a focus on curriculum design.

Gil Troy, PhD

Professor, Distinguished Scholar of American History, McGill University

Gil serves as professor of North American History at McGill University. He is a prolific writer and author. He writes a weekly column for the Daily Beast, “Secret Lives,” putting current events in historical perspective, as well as a weekly column for the Jerusalem Post. Gil blogs regularly at the History News Network. His most recent book, The Zionist Ideas: Visions for the Jewish Homeland—Then, Now, Tomorrow sheds light on the surprisingly diverse and shared visions for realizing Israel as a democratic Jewish state.
