Meet the team
Yirmiyahu Danzig
Yirmiyahu Danzig, the host of the Israel 101 videos, is a digital content creator popularly known as @that_semite on Instagram, and is part of the UNPACKED family, an OpenDor Media brand that produces content aimed at empowering young people to develop informed, nuanced opinions on a wide range of topics related to Israel and Judaism. He is the host of UNPACKED’s YouTube channel, with over 300,000 subscribers, and more than 50 million views. Through UNPACKED and his own channels, Yirmiyahu creates thought provoking, educational content about Israel’s historical, cultural, and political context, breaking down complex topics for a growing, diverse audience.
Yoni Buckman
Yoni Buckman is an education associate at OpenDor Media. He has been instrumental in designing interdisciplinary curricula and spearheading educational initiatives across Jewish organizations and congregations in Washington, DC, Newton, MA, and Denver, CO. Yoni is a lifelong learner dedicated to cultivating curiosity, fostering inclusive learning environments, and integrating meaningful content into the education landscape.
