Israel’s decision to attack Iran on June 13, 2025, was the result of years of careful planning and failed negotiations between Iran and Western countries concerning Iran’s continued nuclear enrichment along with Iran’s continued support for terrorist proxies across the middle east. In the days since the launch of Operation Nation of Lions, Israeli cartoonists have produced works of art that document how the outbreak of the conflict is affecting Israeli society. This lesson is designed to help students engage with a range of Israeli voices and to consider their own feelings towards the conflict.
