Getting to Know Israel’s Druze Citizens (Israel Reframed, inspired by Israel21c)
Ideal for: all ages Who are the Israeli Druze? This session unpacks the unique identity, cultural traditions, and civic loyalty of the Druze community, and explores their unique role in Israeli society.

Inventing a Better Tomorrow: Israeli Innovations Changing the World
Ideal for: Elementary (3–5), middle school (6–8) From drip irrigation to medical robotics, discover how Israeli innovation is solving global challenges—and why it matters.

Unpacking Current Events
Ideal for: Teens and up Navigate the headlines and explore the key questions surrounding Israel and the Jewish world with nuance and clarity.

Seeing Israel Through the Arts (Israel Reframed, inspired by Israel21c)

Meet the educators

Avi Posen
Avi Posen is Director of Education at Unpacked for Educators and ConnectED. He leads curriculum development and supports global educators in teaching Israel and Judaism with nuance and clarity. A former teacher, Hillel, and camp director, Avi holds a Master’s in Jewish Education from Yeshiva University and has spoken worldwide and published in Ynet, Times of Israel, and educational journals.

Yoni Buckman
Yoni Buckman is an Senior Educator at Unpacked for Educators, a division of OpenDor Media. He also serves as Senior Educator at ConnectED and Education Lead for Unpacked Junior, expanding access to innovative content on Israel, Jewish heritage, and respectful dialogue. Yoni holds a BS in Business Administration from Western Governors University and is based in Denver, Colorado.

Keren Horn
Keren Horn is a Senior Educator at Unpacked for Educators, leading major East Coast school partnerships and developing widely used curricula on Israel and Holocaust education. A former teacher at Yavneh Academy, she developed a multi-year Israel program. Keren holds a Master’s in Education from Rutgers, has presented nationally, and was published by the Lookstein Center.
